AMEGHINO DAM – FULL DAY

Leaving Puerto Madryn, you will find this very important hydroelectric work, in the middle of a narrow canyon of reddish rock formations. The tunnels that pass through an immense rock to reach the top of the concrete wall that forms the dike are striking. As a result of the reservoir, an artificial lake with an area of ​​about 50 kilometers has been formed, with some areas of beaches and places suitable for fishing, camping, etc. On the banks, the vegetation and the color of the waters of the Chubut River create a landscape suitable for rest and contemplation of nature in all its splendor.
