    The city of Uyuni is the gateway to the spectacular Salt Flats, to the lagoons and volcanoes of the Altiplano. The biggest attraction is the Salar de Uyuni, the largest in the world.

    Uyuni´s Salt Flat is the largest salt desert in the world, with an area of ​​12 thousand square kilometers, 10 thousand tons of salt, and over one hundred tons of lithium.
    In the salar there are also giant cactus more than ten meters high, a colony of flamingos in November, and puya raimondi, a flower relative of pineapple that blooms every hundred years.

    1. Day 1 SALAR DE UYUNI - AJENCHA

      At arrival, we will be waiting to transfer you to Uyuni, and there you can breakfast for your own. The tour begin at 11:00am approximately. First we will visit the Train Cemetery and the town of Colchani where you can learn more about Uyuni’s mining past and its artisanal salt production present, later we will enter to the amazing Uyuni Salt Flat, and after some minutes traveling in this infinite salt plane, arrive to the “Salt Hotel-Museum”, the first of its kind that nowadays works only as a museum. On our way we will be able to see fantastic optic illusions, able to see in raining season (December- March), and also we will visit “Ojos de Agua” (Eyes of water), small salt eruptions which help us to explain the development of this huge salt lake.
      At noon, you will reach the “Incahuasi Island” in the middle of the Salt flat; there are extraordinary calcareous rocks, large populations of Cactus, local fauna and spectacular 360 grades panoramic views of the Salt Flat from the summit.
      After lunch we go ahead to the town of Ajencha to our accommodation in the south part of the salt flat

    2. Day 2 AJENCHA – RED LAGOON

      We begin our day addressing ourselves to the volcanoes range with their eternal snow going to Lípez, there we will find the Ollagüe Volcano that we will observe at the distance. Then we restart the trip to the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve, on our way we will appreciate the lagoons called “Joyas Altoandinas” (Jewels from the High lands): Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarcota and Honda where you will have the chance to see different kinds of local birds.
      Later we get to the Siloli Desert where we will make some stops to take pictures of this magnificent desert landscapes, inside you will find the famous rocky formation called Stone Tree.
      We get to the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve, and arrive to Laguna Colorada (The Red Lagoon), an impressing water source, the algae and plankton give the lagoon brown or intense red colors, this is the main flamingos nesting site and there it is possible to observe three kinds of flamingos of the region: James, Andino and Chileno.

    3. Day 3 RED LAGOON - GREEN LAGOON - UYUNI - POTOSÍ

      This day we need to get up very early in order to start the tour at 5:30 approximately, to observe the Geysers of “Sol de Mañana” smoky and noisy geysers, boiling mud stewpot where red and grey mud is boiling. Later we will enjoy a bath in the hot springs, despite the low temperatures it is an unforgettable experience.
      We continue our trip almost to the border with Chile, Hito Cajon on the way we will enjoy the panoramic view of the Dali Desert, there are columns of stones sculpted by the wind that resemble this famous painter work. After that, we will also appreciate the Laguna Verde (Green Lagoon), at the foot of Licancabur volcano.
      From the Green Lagoon, we begin the trip back to Uyuni, in the afternoon we will take a walk around the Rocks Valley, giant volcanic rocks between 8 to 15 meters high. Our last stop is at San Cristóbal village which has been moved from its original site to the actual one for the needs of one the biggest mine in Bolivia.
      Arrival to Uyuni at 18:00 approximately. We aboard our Bus towards Potosi.

    4. Day 4 POTOSÍ + SUCRE

      Breakfast.

      OPTION 1 (Except Monday)
      We begin the City Tour walking throughout the city of Potosí; it was one of the most important cities of the continent during colonial times, because it was one of the main silver extraction points deep inside the “Cerro Rico”. We will visit “La Casa de la Moneda” Museum, that worked for many years as the main silver coin producing centre for the Spanish colony, there we can see and imagine the coin production processes, which worked thanks to local and African slaves was.
      We continue the visit observing the front of the Church of San Lorenzo known by the beauty of its baroque-mestizo decoration, Pavilion of Royal Officers and Santa Teresa Convent´s Church, made completely of stone
      We end our tour at the Main Square called “Plaza 10 de Noviembre” from where you can see the exteriors of the Cathedral Saint Basilica.
      OPTION 2
      We will have a visit the monument of mines, mining market; we meet women miners (palliris) and visit to a mining cooperative. Inside the mine we visit the miners.
      Ending the tour, you have some time to have lunch.
      Bus towards Sucre leaves at 17:00.

    5. Day 5 SUCRE – CALORKO – SUCRE (except Monday or Sunday)

      In the morning we will pick you up in a private vehicle to begin the tour, first we will get to know the Church, Convent/ Viewpoint of “La Recoleta”, a Franciscan monastery located on the foot of the Churuquella mountain, and then we address ourselves to the Indigenous Art Museum (ASUR) in which you will have the chance to see a display of the richness of textiles produced by two local cultures: Tarabuco y Jalq’a,
      Finally we will visit the “Casa de la Libertad” where the independence document of the Alto Peru (nowadays Plurinational State of Bolivia) was signed, it works as a museum where very important historical pieces and documents from the independence time of Bolivia are kept, we end our tour walking through the Main Square and we go back to the hotel.
      In the afternoon, it’s time for the Visit the park Cretaceous. Transfer to Cal Orck’o quarry, located 5 km from the city of Sucre, where you will see a large variety and quantity of prehistoric animal tracks of different species, considered the largest displays of dinosaur tracks in the world.

    6. Day 6 SUCRE - DEPARTURE

      At appropriate hour we will pick you up to your hotel to transfer to the Airport.
