We will depart from our hotel to Foz do Iguaçu National Park (Brazil). On arriving to the Visitors center, we will get on the panoramic buses that begin the tour of the park, then we will descend to start walking the paths. From the first balcony we will meet a panoramic view of the Argentinean falls. Then after 950 meters with stunning views over the Iguazu river we will get to the falls on the Brazilian side. The walkway entering the river next to the Floriano fall will give us a refreshing reception and a gorgeous panoramic view of the lower Iguazú river and the Devil’s gorge Canyon. The elevator and the stairs lead to the shopping and restaurant area upstairs. We will return to the portal on panoramic buses.
After this visit, we will go to Itaipú dam, situated at 50 kms. from the falls, where we will take a guided tour. This dam was ranked as the biggest engineer masterwork shared by Brazil and Paraguay, built on the Paraná River.
Once at the Visitors’ Center we will make a short stop to watch a short film describing the construction of the dam, from the very beginning to its conclusion. Then we will take a 40-minute ride around the area to visit the main sites of the dam: spillway, barrage, powerhouse, and have a panoramic view of the lake.
Duration: approx. 8 hours.
