We begin the tour from Tilcara, Humahuaca’s Gorge’s archaeological capital, from 2500 meters above sea level. Departure time is at 10 am and after we loading the llamas with all the necessary luggage for the trio, we will follow the footprint that the pilgrims travel every year during Holy Week. Halfway we have lunch at the Quebrada del Río de Punta Corral. Our destiny is Zanjas, where we will arrive at 5 pm. There we are going to visit Martínez’ family, members of the local comunity. We alrady walked 8 km and there is a height difference with Tilcara of 500 meters a.s.l.
We rest in the moring. You can visit the local farming terraces or you can share your time with locals. Your meals are going to be rural style. After a tasty lunch, we are going back to Tilcara. We will arrive aroung 6 pm.
