This excursion begins in the morning. The meeting point is at Pudu Lodge Hostel, where we find the guides who will be with us during the whole trek.
From there, the transfer takes us around 12 kilometers through route 23 towards Lago del Desierto, until El Pilar Hostel. During this journey amazing views of the Rio de Las Vueltas and the Mt. Fitz Roy are enjoyed. We can also appreciate the
flora and fauna of the place.
Once we arrive, we start a 16 kilometers walk along the edge of the Rio Blanco. Then, we walk for an hour along the Lengas and Ñires forest and arrive to Glaciar Piedras Blancas viewpoint where there is a stunning front view of the glacier.
After walking for another 30 minutes, we are able to enjoy the fantastic views of the Fitz Roy massif in the distance.
In the afternoon, we arrive to Poincenot Camp to have lunch and from where we start the descent down. During this last part of the trail we see Laguna Capri and the Mirador Estancia Madsen.
