If you have 3 days in El Chaltén, this circuit is the most recommended to complement the visit of the area, since it contributes a real magnitude of all the area, with panoramic points ideal to take Photographs. The head of the trail is located at the entrance of the town, in the Administrative Headquarters of Parks Nationals Started the walk, you cross a small log bridge spanning a beautiful stream, which, after an ascent, we will have on our left. Then we started to cross Lenga forests and ñires, reaching an area under the open sky, called “Pampa de las Carretas”, with a wide and beautiful view from the Fitz Roy Torre and Cerro Huemul massifs. Then the trail goes back into the leafy forest, where you can possibly identify many birds that inhabit the area. When the forest ends a landscape begins more arid and mountainous, and the path continues to the Mirador del Pliegue Tumbado, in this section you we find fossil remains very easily 100 million ammonite and belemnite seafarers years old. In this viewpoint, you have a spectacular view of almost the entire area: Fitz Roy river canyon, the glacier Grande, Adela Glacier, Glacier and Cerro Torre, Mother and Daughter lagoons, the Fitz Roy and you get to observe to the Laguna Cóndor. Continuing 45 minutes of walking to La Loma from the Lying Pleat, the view reaches Lake Viedma, with the Passage of the Wind the exit door of the Continental ices.
