  1. Day 1 Ushuaia

We set out in the morning from Ushuaia to an adventure that will take the following 3 days enjoying the landscape and the best dishes in Tierra del Fuego.

Then we start going to the centre of the island, to the area of Escondido Lake and Fagnano Lake, where we are making an intense 4×4 activity, then we go to our shed on the coast of Lago Escondido to enjoy a barbecue of meat of the area cooked on the Lenga and Guindo logs, two of the typical trees of this area.

Together with a Patagonia Malbec and sweet to close the first gastronomic experience. After sailing on canoes on the Lake, we set our way towards Tolhuin where we are spending our first night at Kaiken Inn, the most awesome view of the Fagnano Lake.

  2. Day 2 San Pablo Cape

We have breakfast at the inn, with homemade marmelades and bread. Then we continue our adventure towards the north of the island up to the intersection of National Road 3 with Provincial Road A, an inter fields way full of Guanacos (the nicest and most peaceful fauna of the area).

The way ends in the Atlantic Ocean opening to a horizon which takes our breath away. We trek through paths of guanacos which will accompany us during all our walk and we arrive to the top of San Pablo Cape to visit its lighthouse which was built in 1941, and destroyed by an earthquake in 1949. After this walk we go to visit Desdemona, a wrecked ship since 1985 on the coast. We are having lunch in a small fishermen town where with very primitive techniques they fish bass, salmon, silverside and octopus. We enjoy this seafood and get to know about the special life of those inhabitants of the area.

In the afternoon we go back to Road A up to Rolito Field, were we are having dinner and spend the night. We stay the rest of the afternoon at the field that dates from the beginning of the XX Century, and it is still run by its owners. We visit the facilities and for dinner we are enjoying lamb produced by them.

  3. Day 3 Puerto Almanza - Ushuaia

Have breakfast and leave towards a place where we will be surprised by other of the gastronimic activities of the area. Then we take Road 3 towards Ushuaia, up to the intersection with Road J. This takes us to the Beagle Channel Coast, where we will take a walk up to a closed and of water fall. After this lonely trekking we go back in the van to Almanza Harbour area, this place has the greatest number of Centolla fishermen. We are going to live this experience at one of the fishermen’s house.

Once we arrive we put on our safe vests and we are going to pick up the traps of this giant, famous and tasty crab which is called Centolla.

After this short sailing we are going into his house to cook our fishing and taste other products which are special of the Beagle Channel.

After lunch we are going back to Ushuaia to end this special and unique experience of our región.
