El Calafate is a small city of 4000 inhabitants where its streets have a particular charm characterized by a construction of low, warm and rustic houses in the framework of a blue landscape that blends with the sky.

The Perito Moreno glacier, the eighth wonder of the world, is located near El Calafate. This town is also an access area to a multitude of ice mountains that make up Los Glaciares National Park, and which make it a privileged site in Argentina and the world. So much so that in 1981 Unesco declared this entire Park a "World Heritage Site".
